I thought of another one that my parents said frequently....maybe it's been said already...sorry if it has. I think of it often.

I just heard a really good one that I'd never heard before.

This isn't really an old saying or idiom, but you know how people say "How you doin?" or " How are You?" kind of like a hello but without waiting to hear how you ARE doing?

A friend of ours when asked How he was doing used to say this-

"I'm glad you asked. You got 3 hours? Sit down!"

Lol! Always loved this and most laugh when you say it to them
