Re: What movie do you always

@Judaline  I did Not say that it Was. I said i CONSIDERED it to be a prequel

BECAUSE... Rick Blaine history in the Movie Casablanca  had Rick smuggling guns into Ethiopia during it's war with italy   and  fighting on the Loyalists side against the facists in the Spanish Civil War.

Which put him on the outs with the U.S. for violating the U.S Neutrality laws. so he can't go home.

Both General Strasser and the Germans have Dossiers on Rick  Curious if he's mearly a law abiding  propriotor don't you think?

In To Have and have not, Rick is delivering guns to rebels  AND providing help to a wounded rebel leader.

In Casablanca Rick,  has a history of running guns and IS helping  a " rebel "Leader.

SO if you look at them sort of sideways it seems that to have and Have Not  could be a Possible story of Why RICK would end up running an establishment like Ricks Cafe American.

You know a lot more about these movies than I do! I was only talking about who is/was in them!

One of my absolute favorites. Brad Pitt at the height of his youth and attractiveness. The peanut butter scene. And the scene with him and Claire Forlani at the pool. Takes my breath away. That ending, though.....

Re: What movie do you always

I saw that Sneakers (1992) was on Tubi, and I saved it to watch...but now it's gone. 😭  I haven't seen that movie in years, and I remember really liking it.  Think I will look for it on DVD.  That would be one I would watch more if it was on streaming services more.

The Shining is one that never gets old.  (The Kubrick version.)  Also love Vacation and Christmas Vacation.  I, Robot and I am Legend.  Pretty In Pink and other 80's movies.
