@KKlim the move from Brooklyn paid for itself a million times over, lost my Mom in 2009 leaving dad alone, he lived 6 minutes from there even though he had full time help we were there to make him dinner every other night of the week. Dad lived to 95 and 3 weeks, which was a blessing hes he gone 6 years but the move here was the right thing to do,

Smart move moving across river when your dad was in hospital.

My car is a 1989 white Pontiac Firebird. I bought it 1 yr old in 1990 for $7,999...still driving it today. Love the sunroof, roll down windows and AM/FM cassette player.
No car payments and VERY low insurance is the cherry on top... ![]()

DH and I both have newer models Honda Accords, my only dislike is no CD player. My daughter has had a few Acura RDX, she has two boys and has to haul them and their sports equipment to their games, works well for her.

The last car I purchased was a Toyota 4Runner. It's getting older though and I really need to get something else. It's sure been a great vehicle!

I always wanted a Firebird! That was the coolest car ever! The only time I've ever bought a car that I actually drove out of the showroom was in 1990 lol. It was a white Dodge Daytona! It was decked out like yours. I still actually have this car stored at my old house. I'll never get rid of it either!

@haddon9 That's the small suv we drive. It's a 2017 that I first leased and then bought when lease was up. We expect to drive it into the ground, it's so reliable! The only thing I'd change is the color: black was the only choice when I traded in another Honda in 2017. It's a great care for us shorter people -- I'm 5'3" and daughter (primary driver) is 5'4" .

@zitawins I leased mine in 2020 and when the lease was up a few months ago I also decided to purchase it. I expect to have it for a long time also. It's a very reliable car!

@I am still oxox I have driven several different small SUV's over the years. Last June, I traded my 2014 Nissan Rogue for a 2024 Chevy Trax. It has gone through a total redesign. It's a cross over design and I tell you I love it, and you cant beat the price in todays market. It is the perfect size. The gas mileage is great, it has a quick pickup with a small engine. For someone who just zips around town, to and from work it has really made me happy. Maybe give it a look. Good luck with your purchase.
