What is your favorite detergent to prevent fading in colored clothes; pinks, turquoise, etc.?

What is your favorite detergent to prevent fading in colored clothes; pinks, turquoise, etc.?

I usually wash these brighter colored clothes and darker color clothes (examples: burgundy, olive, cobalt blue)  in cold water and I don't put them in the dryer.

I used to use Tides that were marked for colored clothing but Tide is not making this product anymore. I use Woolite Dark for dark jeans and black tees and pants but I'm afraid it might cause color change in my brighter colors.

I use Nellie's for everything in cold water wash except for microfiber towels which I use a free/clear liquid detergent in hot water wash.

I wash all of my darks and lights clothing together and use three of those dye-catcher sheets in the load. Always add vinegar to the rinse and that helps preserve the color. Saves water that way. Water here is really expensive.

I haven't noticed that one detergent is better than another.  I think using the smallest amount of soap makes sense.  Turning garments inside out, short gentle cycle, little or no tumble drying and that's about all that can be done IMO.

Cheer Colorguard Free and Gentle is the best for me. It protects my clothing and my sensitive skin. Other brands are not as free and gentle.

This detergent is difficult to locate. Walmart usually has it in the stores but not online. I believe I was able to order some from Target during the lockdown.  The grocery stores in my area do not stock it.

@Sugipine

I use 2 of the dye catchers...tearing each in half.  They can be reused several times.

I separate colors, and use TIDE in cold water

I only use one deteregent:

Arm & Hammer for sensitive skn and a scoop of Arm & Hammer Washing Soda for both machine washable and hand washing.

I separate whites / dark colors / other colors.  I only use cold water .... never had any fading issues.

ETA:  I turn all my clothes inside-out before washing.

This is odd, made me think about what I have that is pink.  Lighter cotton gowns, brighter cotton tops, and an outstanding bright hoodie to make the grands roll their eye 🤣

Just wash with Tide, like colors, warm, and into the dryer.

Never had a pink fade.

I've been using Purex Free and Clear (or whatever it's called) for many years.

Friends use Arm and Hammer (the free/clear unscented type).

I'm waiting for sales re: "All"brand Free and Clear/Sensitive (or whatever it's called).

I always turn items inside out, and short wash setting.

After machine washing, I usually hang to completely dry, or dry on a wooden drying rack with towel underneath.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I buy whatever Costco has on sale when I need it. Sometimes it Kirkland and other times it's Tide. Neither of us wear whites so I just toss everything in the washer and then to the dryer. There's no way I'm hanging my clothes outside to dry.
