A beautiful saying and I couldn't agree more.  Whenever people mention my mother, they always say she was kind.  While she had many other good traits, kindness was her standout and my siblings and I have followed in her footsteps as a result. It doesn't cost anything to be kind and it does make a difference in other's lives.

Either a dime, or a nickel, or a penny, whichever sounds better.  

I changed 'nice' to 'kind'.

How very true!  People think that a small thing - whether good or bad -- does not make a difference --- but this is so untrue!  This made me think even more --- if you just pile all these things up --- how could it not make a difference?
