@GingerHead Well, I have to say--my MIL and my aunt both made the best I've ever had. They each had a very different recipe. Both were kind of time-consuming (I made MIL's recipe several times).

But we do like the StoveTop...for Thanksgiving sometimes I add browned sausage or maybe mushrooms, and add a little of the turkey drippings to the cooking water. It's delicious either way, and so much faster!

By the way, I usually use the Cornbread flavor StoveTop.

  My Southern Grandmother made the most delicious buttermilk biscuits, everyone loved them. I watched her make them many times and she wrote down the recipe for me but I could never ever replicate them...not even close! 

   My favorite Stove Top flavors are both the Cornbread and Savory Herb and sometimes I'll mix the 2. I like your additions, especially the sausage, never thought of that, yum!
