I'm really upset this evening. I live in the Seattle 'burbs and living here has been a man named Josh Powell. He's the guy whose wife Susan went missing about two years ago (they were living in Utah at the time) and Josh's story has been that he was camping in a blizzard with their two little boys when she disappeared. Of course no one believed him.
He moved up here to the suburbs and he and the boys were living with his father -- I think the name is Steve. Anyway, an investigation showed the Steve Powell had child po*rn in his home so he (Steve) started spreading stories that Susan Powell had come on to HIM, blah blah blah, in an attempt to blacken her reputation and distract the authorities from the kiddie p*orn charges.
It didn't work. Steve Powell is currently residing in jail and his grandchildren went to the custody of Susan Powell's parents.
Today a social worker brought the boys for a supervised visit to Josh Powell. He locked her out of the house; she smelled gas and called the authorities. Within seconds the house exploded and was completely burned down. Of course Josh Powell and the little boys were killed.
I'm just sick about this. That no-good s.o.b. grandfather is on suicide watch--why bother? Can you imagine how those poor parents of Susan Powell/grandparents of the two little boys must feel?
