I want to say that it's called "Television Without Purpose", or "Television Without Pitty", something like that, but don't quote me on it.

It's Previously TV.  (Television Without Pity shut down and most of the members moved on to Previously TV.)  Not sure how to find the shopping channels on there though.  They're usually buried in a certain category,

thank you!!! I miss the fun on this one, not necessarily mean comments, but being able to say things without them being deleted.

I did a search on their site and shopping channels came up under - Shows, Misc TV Talk (at the bottom of the categories), Genre Talk, Shopping Channels.

I was on that forum quite a few years ago and the Mods there would constantly take down all kinds of stuff and "ding" your account over even inconsequential statements, not even mean or nasty.  It was a huge power thing.....  I left because of it.  I've never been back and have no desire to find it again..... Long ago, I read Television Without Pity. You could say pretty much anything you wanted about the shopping channels (hosts, products, shows, etc.), but you were not allowed to attack other posters. Even they had rules about what was acceptable, and people did have their privileges suspended.

I must say, however, that I did not read TWP for very long -- I know some find it "fun," but I found the constant snark, nastiness and negativity kind of hard to take. Not the atmosphere I enjoy.

I too used to read (and enjoy) the snark at TWOP, but lost interest when I understood that ONLY snark and insults were welcome. People who posted favorably about a host in any way were either dog-piled or totally ignored (I very rarely posted at all). Posters were there for the snark alone and woe betide anyone who said they liked someone the snarkers were having a field day with. A lot of it was funny, but it got very old, eventually - old and flat, with the posters vying for points and attention snark rankings and brownie points. It was more all about the popular posters than it was about much else.
