My oven doesn't work, and I don't think my family will be doing Thanksgiving. ![]()
So...nothing special.
I'd like to have turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy.

@mistriTsquirrel I too am kitchen challenged as I cook with a toaster oven and an induction burner. As I am by myself, I am still planning a small albeit not very welll prepared meal. I have followed your challenges with your family and please know I wish you and your family peace not only for the upcoming holiday season but also for the future. I know that being a family is not always easy but I do wish you all the best as you deserve that and more.

I sure hope next year is better than this one has been.
I also hope your dinner turns out fantastic!!
Maybe I'll try to figure out something special for myself. The other night, I took some dollar store rotini, some seasonings and some olive oil, and it turned out pretty good. Maybe I'll make something to add to that and call it a meal.

Finished up the menu last night as well as my final shopping list at the grocery store:
Herb-Roasted Turkey with the Gravy (Southern Living)
Classic Bread Dressing (Southern Living)
Party Potatoes (make ahead)
Roasted Winter Vegetables (Ina Garten)
Dried Corn
Braided Peppery Cheese Rolls (made yesterday and tucked into the freezer)
Mom's Cranberry Relish
Praline Pumpkin Pie
Salted Caramel Chocolate Pecan Pie (Southern Living)
Sugar Cookies (cut and decorated to look like turkeys)
Iced Tea and Coffee
Several bottles of my favorite white wine from our local winery
The dressing is made with sourdough bread; I already made the bread and have that in the freezer. I may make the gravy the night before and keep in the fridge. Man, I hate messing around with gravy at the last minute! The potatoes are also make ahead, simply because I hate dealing with last-minute items. It's such a hassle. And I like to enjoy my time with family and friends, too.
Some new recipes. The turkey is new as is its gravy and the dressing. The chocolate pecan pie is also new to us. And for the first time in several years, I am not doing the Good Eats Roast Turkey, nor am I roasting the turkey in the Nesco roaster. Instead it's going into one of the kitchen ovens. That could put a crimp in my planning, but we'll see how things go. I wanted to try some different things.

We're having 17 people for dinner this year so will have both ham and turkey. We don't usually have this many, but my sister invited another family to join us. We have dinner at my sister's house.
Honey Baked ham
turkey
gravy
dressing
cranberry sauce
sweet potato casserole
mashed potatoes
brocolli casserole
deviled eggs
Sister Shubert rolls
pumpkin pie
pecan pie
Since we are having so many people we may have another dish such as green beans. Also, the other family will bring something. She makes great desserts, so that may be what she brings. In that case, we probably would not have the pumpkin pie.

I decided to skip the mashed potatoes and salad this year because no one eats them. So we are having turkey breast - stuffing - sweet potatoes - gravy - green beans - rolls- olives & pickles - cranberry sauce and pie.
