Re: What is just not worth it to you?

I wouldn't buy the very high priced jewelry from QVC. Some items run $1000 or more! Other than that..if I like something, and I do some comparative research, and find the price here seems fair..I'll buy it.

Kitchen stuff - I'm not very domestic.

Cosmetics - Sensitivity issues - wouldn't take a chance.

Hair products - I'm too particular to try anything new.

Electronics - I prefer to buy in person locally.

Male designers - for various reasons.

Shoes - Foot/fit issues.

Designer handbags - not my style. I like quirky/funky bags. I have several I bought in Italy - that will last me forever.

Costume jewelry - I have a source locally that's much less expensive.

Basically, I generally buy only Renee, Lori, Susan and occasionally Belle Gray.

Wen. When I started figuring out how much I would need to buy over a year I said No. My hair isn't perfect but it's not that bad either.

Re: What is just not worth it to you?

The most popular thing I would NEVER buy is Dooney and Burke (or other expensive) handbags. To me that's the biggest waste. I get my handbags at dept stores for a fraction of the price of Qs, and they look better than the ones I see on QVC AND last just as long.

Also I do not pay for any over priced beauty products that claim they take wrinkles away. Its a bunch of baloney IMO.

AND I have only bought 2 pieces or so of jewelry on Q. Most is just TOO expensive.

Lastly to be honest -I don't shop much on QVC at all anymore. I did buy some things for easy pay day but my shopping has decreased a lot due to Qs BIG increase in pricing of clothing. I can do better around here!

I care to differ from your opinion on aging. Products do make a difference. Good skin care, sunscreen and the right products with the right percentages of peptides etc, can help keep your skin softer and healthier. We all age, true....how WELL we age is what makes the difference. I do agree hat many skin care lines are priced WAY over what they are worth. I always look at ingredients first. You can get quality skincare at a good price if you shop around.

I will support your take on some skin products - some do help with dryness and suppleness. Taking notice of what you were given by nature will help you to know how to care for yourself. However, I've known too many ladies who used 'the proper skincare' in the correct ways for years and to no avail. I don't believe that the 'hope in a bottle' is any remedy at all. Nor are chemicals or products that are hocked as being the 'answer'. I've used soap and water all my life and had no problems. I now use a very light moisturizer but that is done only when I feel I need it.
Yes, the fear that is spread around so that people buy and pay way too much with so little reward is just plain wrong. To me, it's almost criminal.

I would never buy the Vitamix (or any expensive mixer), high priced beauty items, WEN, Dyson, Bose, or Sleep Number Beds. I never pay full price for anything, the stores are constantly having sales.
