There could be more dramatic fluctuations as it is earnings season.

October is many times a spooky month for the market.

Fiscal year end coming up. Lots of other stuff too!

I'm NOT looking at our accounts!!! Not today. Not tomorrow. Not next week. No sense in getting myself all upset by looking at them!!!

i TRY not to look at the dailies too much and focus more on my monthly reports and overall performance (along with the advice of my brokers, financial planner, lawyer, and cpa).....so far so good for me this past year......

I had the opportunity to roll over my old 401k. I converted it 100% to cash around Labor Day.

October is always a crazy month for stocks...I STILL remember not too many years ago when October was horrible. I'll wait until after Nov. 4th to dip my toe back in the water...

My Financial Advisor warned me about this MONTHS ago. I've taken precaution. It's not news related...anyone in the know will tell you for such a Bull Market we've had for a long period of time...there will be an opposite reaction Bear Market. Here we come.

Same here. I'm actually satisfied with the income from my retirement investments so far this year.

Actually ebola news helped many stocks, notably those providing the protective clothing, etc. as all hospitals nationwide will be required to be prepared for an outbreak.
