They are supposed to be different.  Community Chat is a lame name - but it is supposed be the new Viewpoints, which is different from Among Friends.  Also, I may not be among friends in community chat - lol

I still don't understand the difference.  If I walk into my neighborhood community center and the room is divided in half with one side designated "Community Chat," while the other "Among Friends," I'm not sure I'd know which side I should be visiting.  Even "Viewpoints" vs. "Among Friends" doesn't make sense to me.  Both seem to be about discussing general topics.  If they're going to consolidate Books and TV (which, by the way is extremely insulting to people who are readers and have no interest in the real housewives of Perth Amboy), then they can certainly consolidate "Among Friends" and "Community Chat."

It was a totally different forum feel and tone.    It just separated along those lines.  Among Friends was chatting about your personal life and experiences - and it allowed religious posts (something I have no interest in).  Viewpoints was more about current events, interest in discoveries, etc.  

I have no interest in merging Among Friends with Community Chat as I am sure Among Friends will not have any interest in that as well.

 i could be mistaken, but I think books/tv/movies was one forum?  I rarely went there as most of it seemed to be daytime soaps and I don't watch those.

What difference does it make? Times they are a changing and seems the  Qs moderation is cracking down.  It's their site and they can do as they please. Hoping that bashing fellow posters and smart remarks are a thing of the past.  🙈🙉🙊

It WAS my photo, until I discovered that if I copied and pasted the URL of my screen shot into google images, all my personal info showed up.
