I just turned on QVC and it was a prerecorded show so I went online and saw this post. I turned off my TV thinking it was a Spectrum glitch (although other channels were fine) switched  back to QVC again and caught the tail end of Julia Cleary explaining they had technical issues. I missed the reason for the interference

I live about 5 miles from the QVC studio and we had a tornado warning followed by a severe thunderstorm.  It was so dark, you would have thought that it was 10:00 at night! That's why they stopped live programming so that employees could get to a safe place.  I know I did.  Fortunately it passed, I don't think that a tornado actually touched down, but better to be safe....

That kind of severe weather is unusual for that region, right?

Thankfull that a tornado didn't make landfall.

Don't think so @Coastalcarolina

My sis is right across in NJ, fairly close to Philly and QVC and she often sends me scary looking pictures and tornadoes have touched down.  Took the roof off my nieces house 2 yrs ago.

I yell at her to get to safety!

@Coastalcarolina I've lived here in SE PA for about 18 years and up until 3 or 4 years ago it was pretty much unheard of to have tornados or tornado watches/warnings here.  There most certainly has been more damaging weather in recent years.

Tomato warning?  I'm still laughing.

@depglass

The tomato warning is over and now it’s just cloudy with a chance of meatballs.

A few years ago on our way to Maine ..we were a few miles from Wilkes-Barre staying on a hotel when my phone went off with a siren...and then it was telling us to take cover...we heard doors opening and closing...I said to DH...What do we do?  He's like don't worry..he said our truck has insurance..after a half hr there was the all clear..

The next morning we turned on the news and saw quite a bit of destruction in Wilkes-Barre PA...

I guess severe weather does happen there...DW
