I know I've already posted, but since I have a variety of tastes, I forgot to mention one genre that I got into after watching True Blood. I have acquired quite a collection of swamp music because of it.

Me too RainCityGirl - I forgot about Reggae and Hawaiian.
So much music that I love.
Almost as much that I hate though. Metal and Punk being at the forefront of that. I acutally have learned to like some HipHop/Rap stuff - but not much, lol!

I fell in love with the theme song from True Blood, too!
Do you happen to know the artist's name? I wouldn't mind getting some more of his stuff.
thanks!

My favorite is all kinds of music with the complete 100% exception- rap, hip hop or anything to do with that stuff.

The theme song Bad Things is done by Jace Everett, though I don't think he did any of the other music from the series. I've bought about 14 swamp music songs, some from the series and some I just found on my own. I already had just one from way back: Black Velvet by Alannah Myles. Another one I bought from the series is Bones by Little Big Town. I just all of a sudden "found" Bayou Blues and swamp music kind of fun.

Anything with spoons. I'm a spoon fanboy. Sure, purists will say the washboard is the true hillbilly instrument of choice and an argument can be made for the jugs but, for me, it's always going to be the spoons.

Black Velvet is one of my favorite songs. Alannah Myles kills it.
