@Kachina624 wrote:@Bridgegal. Its a no no to argue with or question a mod as to the reason a post has been removed. If you have a post zapped, just move on and keep your mouth shut. You DON'T CHALLENGE what they do.
So someone argued and the whole post was removed. Then I guess they meant to say "challenging the moderator" not 'challenging moderation'. That didn't make any sense to me. Thank you.
I think challenging a moderator is challenging moderation.
Yes. Moderating is what moderators do. So it's challenging the way they're moderating. "Challenging moderation" makes perfect sense to me.
To answer the original question: The mods decide what happens here, and it's not open for discussion. Questioning the mods' judgement or attempting to argue is not appropriate. They get to run their forums their way, and they've been very upfront about that.

I think it means there is nothing fair and equitable about their moderation and they furthermore don't like it when it is implied. They view that as challenging their supreme decision to delete a reply or the entire thread and they don't owe anyone an explanation. Just like all friendly fire.

I posted one sentence - on one of the many royal threads and it was deleted for being argumentative. Who knows.

@ID2 wrote:Wow, why so many snarky remarks about the OP's question? I had no clue what that meant either. Geez.
@ID2. I haven't read a single snarky remark. A lot of prople have patiently tried to explain to the OP what should have been obvious.
Read post #3.
That is why I responded with post #6.

@Bridgegal wrote:I know they remove posts for various reasons like political or unkind etc. but I've never seen 'challenging moderation' as a reason and seriously don't know what that means. They just didn't like it? They thought it was extreme? I saw nothing in OP's post that would call for the whole post to be removed. Just trying to figure out why they did it and what 'challenging moderation' means. It didn't say 'challenging the Moderator".
in a nutshell......
once one of your threads has been removed and given a reason for the removal (political, religious, baiting, and so on.....) it is really not to be questioned. those moderating the boards have given you the reason for removal.
if you begin ANOTHER thread about WHY the original thread was removed and ask questions or continue on with the same subject, then THAT "is challenging moderation." a poster really doesnt have the right on this board to question why their thread was removed.
they made a decision and the poster of the thread has to accept it. if you dont and start it back up again you are challenging moderation and that thread will also be deleted. if you persist, then you may risk being banned.
@sunshine45- Does this mean this current thread is challenging moderation since the OP is asking why the original thread was removed? Or perhaps not since it's just a general question and the content of the original removed thread was not mentioned. Just trying to understand.
i am referring to two particular threads that were around the past 2 days. the second thread DID mention the original content of the first thread and continued from there with others responding. the content of the original thread was labeled as to why it was removed. the subsequent second thread questioning the removal was then labeled "challenging moderation" and then removed. the original poster of both threads was advised by a few to send her question to the mods via an email. she did not want to do that because she was afraid she would be "banned."
hope that makes it a bit clearer.
Yes, I was online when both threads posted from the same person. No surprise...she tends to posts bait threads and gibberish.
