I find other PTO-approved clothing online with no explanation and the only conclusion I can come to is it refers to Paid Time Off. I guess it's less restrictive than just vacation.
BTW, this thread showed up in my search.

Not everyone has paid time off. I think its an exclusionary phrase, but someone must have liked it.🤑

I remember seeing a reference to *Karen* a long time ago on the home page for a Fit Bit. And I kept wondering who was Karen? It said something like 'Beat Karen in your step totals...'. That was the first time I heard *Karen* used--generally.
