Of course I care about my image to a certain degree. I am a business owner and also work in a service beauty based industry. My clients would hardly go to someone who looked like they just rolled out of bed, not caring about their appearance, someone who gossiped and is generally unprofessional.

While working in the beauty business requires one who is successful in that profession to have a certain set of characteristics that make someone feel comfortable with your professionalism, owning and renting out properties does too, just a different kind.

The civil world in general requires this. There are times I would love to tell a rude client off but I have a professional image to keep up. That isn't being fake, that is being smart.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

I don't think people are fake just because they want to maintain a certain life style or personal look or want others to think well of them. I don't believe people who say they don't care about what others think, I think they are trying to make a case for how they behave and want to live.
