If he's let out then he will only be let into another kind of 'prison' ...called the public eye. where could he go and be safe out there? Like throwing him to the wolves, imo.

The other ones who come up for parole that I think should stay in prison are the Charles Manson followers.

...about Mark David Chapman (I think that's his name) being let out early from prison? He's the man who tried to assasinate Ronald Regan--the president of the United States-- back in the 80's. I think they're thinking of releasing him early because he's had good behavior, probably found Jesus (or Muhammed or whoever), no longer a danger to the public, he's become a better person...blah blah blah.

I'm against it. He's in prison for a reason--he tried to kill one person (and I think that a President of the United States makes it worse), plus he shot a Secret Service agent (I'm thinking of the man who literally got lifted off his feet by the shot that hit him), and poor (James?) Brady was disabled for life.

You go to prison for a reason: you commited a heinous crime and you're being punished. I don't care if, while incarcerated, you become such a good person that everyone thinks you're the angel Gabriel. You recommitted a bad crime (it wasn't just shoplifting) and being imprisioned was the punishment.

@PuppyLoverBob666- John Hinckley, Jr. who attempted to assasinate Reagan was released from the mental hospital back in 2016 on conditions.  He will be unconditonally released this month.

Mark David Chapman who murdered John Lennon, is up for his 12th parole hearing in August.

I think his chances of getting it are like the Manson family....slim & none... at least I hope so.

I'll never forget the photos of Chapman approaching John on the way into his apt. building and having John autograph the "White album", which he graciously did.

John went back out later, Chapman skulked around in the dark and upon his return, Chapman shot him in the back of the head while going back into his apartment.

Just senseless....he claimed in court that he wanted people to remember his name....guess what dude....we do.

Hope you rot....

He doesn't deserve to be 'safe' anywhere, IMO.

How 'safe' was John when he killed him for no reason other than because he 'wanted people to remember his name'?

Before he shot John, he asked him to autograph his Beatles 'White Album', which John graciously did.

Hopefully if he does ever get out, he won't be able to sell that last autograph of John's for a fortune.

Well guess what.... people DO and WILL remember your name.

Anybody who receives a life sentence for their heinous crimes should spend the rest of their natural life in prison. Do the crime, do the time.
