I take medicine for anxiety but still at times feel restless - like I can't find anything to take away these feelings? Does anyone else feel this way, and if so, do you have any suggestions? I do keep busy, but still......

When I worked I couldn't shut my mind off at night - I had many a sleepless night - it was awful! But I found I had hypertension and the meds helped me greatly in that regard. Before I could feel my heart pounding in my chest at night. Now it is calm as can be.

Talk to the dr that prescribed the rx. Either the mgs or the dosage may need to be increased or you're not giving enough time for the rx to take effect.

I try to let the thoughts run. They may take off in different directions and that's when I try to refocus. Is that even a word? LOL My thoughts wander all over the place. I think they always have.

Deep Breathe to the app "Breathe2Relax" or mediatate to the app "Headspace". Breathing deeply will calm your nerves. Also, Dr Weil teaches the correct way to breathe deeply on YouTube. Good luck. It has helped me for the past 6 years. The first app is free![]()

Talk to your therapist about it. Perhaps you need a change in medication. The therapist might be able to give you some coping tips.

I don't want to say too much, but pure CBD oil has helped me in that regard. There are two threads in Wellness you might want to browse. Anxiety is one of the things it works best for. When I take it, I can feel it work on me. It's relatively expensive at effective doses, though.
As for sleep - if it's legal in your state, medically-prescribed cannabis is excellent for sleep. That's one of its primary medical uses.
I also watch "mindless TV" and play a lot of solitaire and mahjong games on my iPad.
