@cherry

i can believe that!  elvis impersonators are a dime a dozen.

i guess i should correct myself.  i just love female impersonators.  they are the best and it annoys me no end how beautiful they are.  it's just not fair!

This year good friends are hosting at their home a casual get together of about 16 people. They are providing "carry-in" Buano Italian Beef sandwiches the "guests" are bringing appetizers, side dishes and dessert. We have a "white elephant" gift exchange. We will dance to our 50's/60's rock n roll music and toast with a glass of bubbly at midnight. Since they have a large home we are all invited to spend the night.  We are all retired, about 70 years old, enjoy fun and laughter with dear friends.

Counting our blessings, grateful for our grandson born in 2016.

Definitely no partying anymore, but possibly having a shot of

tequilla with lime and salt, and some nice snacks in front of the fire.

@ladyroxanne, you might need sweaters for those puppies' walks in Carmel. The temps have been down to freezing in the wee hours for several days now.

Hi @cherry!  Probably cleaning house as I will be travelling right after the 1st.

New Years Eve is probably my least favorite holiday, so I just ignore it. The celebrations look wonderful in old movies, but I would bet it was always just a way for the clubs to make money.

I'll be staying home. I'll probably be asleep before midnight. The past couple of years, a friend & I did something for NYE, since we rarely go out. This year both of us have had many health challenges, neither one of us has the desire to go out or do anything.
