I don't like heights, bridges frightened me since I was a little girl. I lived in New York and whenever we went to New Jersey to visit relatives and my father would start to approach the bridge, I would tell him to please stay on the inside lane, the outside lane terrified me.

Narrow curvy mountain roads. Being held down and not able to move or get away. I have had three back surgeries, the last one lasting nine hours. I have been in chronic pain ever since and whenever I see a doctor I have the fear of being told I need another back surgery...not going to happen!!

I think we all have a number of fears, it is quite natural.

trapped in a house fire....

ECBG,, my biggie is also snakes (I never even say the word I say "s's"),,but I love your idea of the hippo, meaning you can see it coming!!!! Love that! Hope you don't mind, but I'm gonna use that expression ${#emotions_dlg.blush}$

piano, most of us have been there done that, and be assured it's not as awful horrible as you may think. the prep is a bummer, and now they've maybe made that easier.

I too have this fear, but I'd also read an annoying quote,,"feeling alone is a horrible thing, until you feel that way when you're surrounded by others". something to think about. don't want to be a downer, but I've often thought about this fear too.
