Yes, it does. Sorry for the loss of your friend.

@happycat wrote:@trinity, thank you.
I feel like I have hijacked this thread and it wasn't my intent.
No, you didn't. Some years are just worse for us personally, and some seem worse for many others, in general. This past year has been that way for me, too.
Maybe that's why I'm more aware of the losses I see public figures going through? We all hurt the same when we lose loved ones.

@happycat wrote:Thank you @cherry. I am upset. Certain people are arguing over her stuff. They were arguing this morning before she died this afternoon. These were the same ones who couldn't be bothered to go to see her in the nursing home. I can say, I have no regrets, as I went pretty often and felt blessed that I was able to do so.
I don't understand people. It seems like everyone is so dang greedy....She was worth so much more than all her things...

I am so sorry for your loss @happycat

@cherry wrote:If your sad ,your sad. No one has the right to tell you how you should feel
Absolutely, @cherry! We all know the circle of life but there is no need to use that as a way to tell someone else how to feel or how not to feel. Would someone say that if it were his/her own loved ones who passed away this year? Maybe so or maybe not. I am glad you posted this thread because I am sad, too.

I too am very sad. Not quite as old as Debbie was, but sure did enjoy her when she was in movies.
My heart and prayers go out to her family. This is very difficult to go through and they need all the support they can get. Even if it is through our prayers for them.

The time span of a year is a classic way to review what has happened within that time. Haven't we all watched news specials for each year when broadcasters review news stories?
IMO it's presumption to tell people they should be feeling joyous. We have no idea what others have gone through this year or may still be dealing with.

@Noel7 you are right. Many people here have endured heavy burdens and trials, the last thing they need is ,someone telling them cheer up ,it doesn't matter.

Yes death is part of the life cycle but it still doesn't lesson the pain of a loss. No one should ever, ever tell someone how to feel when it comes to grieving whether it's a celebrity or a loved one. For those making blanket statements about how anyone of should feel is rude and shallow!
This year has definitely been a hard year for deaths, my condolences to those who have suffered losses.

The whole year has been crazy and the end is getting worse by the day.
