Todd Fisher said his mother's last words were I want to be with Carrie.  If her feelings didn't bring on a stroke, I would be very surprised.

 

People sometimes , are never able to get over  a sad event Example PTSD.. Feelings are strong  things, and they can  over power the best of us.  Any Dr will tell you, it's isn't always possible to just snap out of it

I believe Cakers comment was directed at the post above yours, that has since been deleted.
