What a creative gal this teenager is!

Colorado high school junior Regan Kerr spent two years collecting 5,114 soda can tabs (and, no, she didn't drink 5,000 cans herself!) and then five months sewing them together to create the glittering aluminum sensation she wore to the prom last week. But creating the unique ode to recycling wasn't an easy task for someone who's never made a dress before: She says she faced issues including navigating the stitching around the zip mechanism and having to add straps to the originally-strapless metal gown after realizing how heavy it was.
