@We rescue cats

You must be living right to have had a wicked storm on your birthday 🙃  happy birthday to you!  We had a really nice storm yesterday and into the night.  I love sleeping during a thunderstorm.  I just bury myself into the covers and smile Smiley Happy

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, the best gift I got (right after the power coming on) was that our feral rescue walked into my office and sat down. He spent almost an hour 'with' me. He made my day. He's making progress each day he trusts us a bit more.

@Othereeeen Yes we are in PA, about an hour outside of Pittsburgh. And just for fun, we got slapped with another storm last night but the power remained on, it just flickered to remind us that we are NOT in charge! DH was in charge of dinner so we had Chinese take out! He knows I love it but seldom indulge in it.

@We rescue cats

I am a feral cat lover too...I feed quite a few....I spend my money at Chewy rather than on grandkids!!! ( I'm single, no kids!)

I fear for mine too when the weather is bad.....especially in the beginning of winter when it's those last nice days and I hear the weather report for freezing weather and snow coming, but they don't have a weather report...they're still oblivious!!

My inside cat is a once-feral...it took a long time for such trust to develop....but it paid off....and she will NEVER live outdoors again under a wet half frozen bush ...

My friends tell me cats lived outside for millions of years and survived....but I tell them....they survive BETTER with a little human help!!!

Good luck with weather clean-up! Even with the latest storms....at least it's spring...and today it's a pretty morning here beside the Allegheny National Forest with the trees just coming out....!!!

@Othereeeen We live above a reservoir that is a drop off for unwanted pets. They have a home with us, but we bring them inside and try to rehome them but once we have them they will not be outside cats again, they are vet checked, neutered or spayed and if we don't find a home they have a home with us. It's how we have ended up with up to 17 cats living in our home.

Re: What a Storm!

[ Edited ]

@We rescue cats    I hope your birthday was happy.  I'm near Pittsburgh.  I only lost power 7 hours and internet 32 hours.  Some still do not have power from Tuesday night.  The wind and terrible bursts only lasted 10-15 minutes, but really rolled through.

We love it here, no volcanos, wildfires, hurricanes.  They say it was NOT a tornado, but weather the last few years surely is changing.

Glad you are safe.  Your kitty is ADORABLE!
