I don't think that physicsnut understands that you can't appeal past the top of the heap. It's final and done with.

This post has been removed by QVC. Afraid that bringing other recent rulings into the thread may take it off course.

It's about time.

Love is Love!     Heart

We just had a mass shooting in Charleston based on race out of hate for others.  Today's ruling is about love and celebrating love between people.   Yet, there are still some people who will fight more to stop the laws based on love than the one based on hate.

Congrats to all who are affected and to the visionaries who made it happen.

They can't appeal in the traditional sense but the states have three weeks to ask for reconsideration of the ruling.

Jim Obergefell's comments were touching as well.  A lovely tribute to his late husband.

Thank you for posting this.  He made me sob when I was watching and listening to him.  What a path he has walked to get here.

You're right, it could have.  I should have thought with my head instead of my heart before making that post.  Mea culpa.

Hi Community Posters,

Let's leave this as more of a celebratory current events thread, and try not to make it too political by discussing any appeals or the appeals process. Could get too involved with government issues and we really want to keep this more along the lines of personal stories or feelings, safely away from politics!

I'll leave you to it now! Smiley Happy
