After a second interview, the company sends you an email saying they are working on preparing an offer for you and want you to email a copy of your last pay statement. They already knew the current salary as it was a question on the interview. Being that this is the one and only opportunity you have to have any dialogue about salary before they offer, would you include in your cover email/note that this salary was the same for the last seven years due to a company wide salary freeze in which there were no pay raises given, nor increases for added education such as bachelor's as well as master's degrees. I'm just thinking that would maybe be information that would lead to a better offer rather them deciding on a dollar amount and then have to renegotiate. What do you think and what would you do?
