I live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mnts.  We have had leaves changing to gold/yellow for the past week.

I love the fact that as summer wears down, the crickets get louder and louder, getting in their last licks before frost...

I noticed acorns on the ground, that is usually one of first signs.

It's already getting darker earlier but one of the biggest signs for me is the cold nights and you can just feel that shift in the air.  Even if it gets warm, once it's fall, we don't have the humidity.

According to the local weather, we have no 90 degree days in the near future.  Doesn't seem like we've had many this summer.

@Kachina624,No Sweetie.  You could get seriously injured at the top.  The bride and groom were standing where the photographer was who took this picture.
