We bought our first house in 1987, it was 41,500. We sold it in 1991 for 52,000. It sold again a few years later for over a little over 70,000.

I'm so glad to be out of that neighborhood. It was quiet when we lived there, but shortly after we moved they but in a humongous apartment complex in the field that was across the road from our old house. Totally changed the neighorhood.

First home in Philly--$38,000.00 in 1984--a three story twin built before 1900.

Sold it 8 years later and now we live in a lovely 1897 stone Victorian single complete with tower.

Philadelphia has a wonderful real estate assortment at great prices!
