It was such a nice sunny day in the 70's and Toni went to the orchard for apple picking with her family.
She chose to wear her red and white dress with the apple print bodice and a little apple brooch at the neckline. The skirt is trimmed with white ric rac in the 1950's style.
Toni is excited to help her mother to make an apple pie and caramel apples.
This dress is from my Toni Doll Collection of dresses that I designed and sewed. They are based on the original Toni doll dresses made by Ideal and all have the attached petticoat trimmed with lace as the original dresses had.

@Malcontent Thank you so much. I am actually feeling better than I was a couple of weeks ago. Now, it is just vertigo, which I get in the spring and fall. Thank you for asking.

@spiderw Thank you so much. Wasn't Toni just the prettiest doll? What size was yours and what color hair did she have?
When my cousin and I were six years old, we wanted Toni Dolls for Christmas. We were both so disappointed when Santa did not bring them.
Later that day, we visited our grandmother and she surprised us with our Toni Dolls. We were so happy. Our dolls were the 14" size. My doll was platinum blonde and my cousin's had black hair.
Christmas night, my parents took me to visit my other grandmother and guess what? She also gave me a Toni Doll.
This doll was the 15" size and I called her hair color "lemon
blonde". My mother helped me when it came time to give them "perms". It was fun styling their hair.
I kept my Toni Dolls and collected more as an adult. Then I started making and selling the dresses to other doll collectors.
I still have all my Ginny Dolls, clothing and furniture. Did you have any Ginny Dolls? They were popular just before Barbie made an appearance. My daughters had Barbie Dolls.

@mspatmac Thank you very much. Toni will be back before Christmas. She has her dress picked out for a day at the fair and
she will also be modeling some Halloween costumes, next month.
She will be wearing a taffeta dress for Christmas.
