I don't think that was a calm thread to read - as in 'sharing of opinions'. 

There was only one 'interesting' occurance on that thread, but I'll let that go.

Snarkiness is alive and well on the new boards. 

If I see someone else dumpster dive, then it's open season.  I don't think I've ever gone first.

It used to be a fun place to come to, then it changed. I just like to chill. I refuse to get into any battle or argument with anyone. You can call me all the names you want, I just laugh at you and I mean that. I'm not like this in  real life so why would I want to stir the pot?

I'm not on much, due to heavy volume of work, and I sometimes think that is for the best,lol. I used to read a lot, names have changed, couldn't tell you who is who, unless the name is the same or similar.I don't even read that much anymore if I do it is in other forums. You will always have those that want to engage in meanness, and point out everything you say is wrong, is it really worth it? I'm no saint, I had my share years ago, but it was stupid of me. So I just chill. The sports forums on other sites are much more interesting to read anyway.

So, I just say chill, take nothing personally and enjoy those people whom you like and ignore those whom you dislike. Enjoy every moment of life. This is a nice place, it's nice of the Q to have these forums for those who really enjoy them, but just don't make it your life, go exploring,read, take in a play, go to museums, paint, follow your dreams, make them come true for you. Life is just to short.

I think all of us have dealt with "guilty by association" from all sides. It's tempting to assume & go with appearances; I've done it. But I now pay attention to what individual posters have to say in different threads, and am trying to back off my assumptions and lumpings ;-) I think that's the best we can hope for. X may have said whatever, and Cohort Y jumped in to support her, but y'know, Z didn't when she could have. Maybe Z is her own person.
