The Bloomingdale discussion is what this BB used to be, a sharing of opinions on a current event. It made coming here worthwhile. There is disagreement that makes it interesti g to read.

The difference now is that politeness rules instead of those who can be the most snarky.
I'm dead serious.

I disagree with this. That thread has some definite snark, if you're paying attention and read all the posts.
There were a few threads yesterday that ended up poofed where the same few were at their snarky best, couldn't accept any other point of view but their own and it ruined the thread.

Cakers, I disagree.
There are still snarky posters. They ruin every thread.

I confess, I miss the snark; I found it both entertaining and useful in separating the good from the bad, the enlightened from the fools.

@Lipstickdiva, there used to be some more serious snarks and hurtful jabs before politeness started ruling. You're right, there are some snarks but not like it used to be..

Mmmmm-I see what you are saying in fact I disagreed with one of your posts on the Bloomingdale's thread. However, although I did not read the whole thread I saw no PERSONAL insults and that is the big difference.
We all know what it was like - the "you are unintelligent" remarks that ruled. Those who were banned a now being very, very nice this time around and it is refreshing.
Plus politics have always been very heated and those topics are not allowed hardly ever now.

Personally while there are perhaps less snarks - or rude people - I do miss the ease of posting here - it still is a royal headache to just sit here and have fun. Hey, I even - on occasion - enjoyed some of the challenges some of the posters presented in days gone by. Sigh.

Heya Brii: I'm hardly here anymore and I've learned to overlook a lot of the past with some posters - some, but not all. And yes, I could probably come up with the same ones you do but they weren't worth the time before and certainly are not worth the time today.
