I like "Faithlife",  @Sooner .   For those interested in theology, as I am, it's a thoughtful, measured and decent place.

I participate with numerous friends, other individuals and groups on Facebook. They get all of the latest and greatest info way before anyone else. I see the most current news and other things on Facebook that show up a day or so later on these boards. I'm on some animal advocacy and rescue teams so we communicate daily.

On the other hand, I like being able to go straight to the specific catagories of my choosing here. Plus, you pretty much know what to expect which includes the good, the bad, the ugly and the same old, same old. I'm personally fond of some and enjoy a lot of people here. One or two try too hard to be "witty" or cultivate a following so they're not worth reading.

I've picked up on a lot of helpful advice and interesting stuff over my ten years or so here. QVC benefits by keeping this chat board going so some form of it will probably remain.

@SharkE Yes!  I have heard a lot of people here complaining that they can't cancel an item, don't get the item and are still paying for the item.  For months.

Being one of those people, and seeing so many others, I'm thinking that it's a business that is simply imploding.  People are not going to take kindly to paying for months for items that don't show up.  I frankly have given up on ever getting a refund for three items.  And I have contacted customer serivce several times.

So that really puzzles me.  How can they get that far behind?  How do they catch up?  The tracking numbers don't work either, so what happens?

Imploding is a good description.

@SharkE No need to start unfounded rumors and foment wild speculation as often happens. Sooner has explained exactly how she reached her own conclusion.

@Sooner I too enjoy FB.  This forum is much more interesting.  I am sure (as I can be) that this one will go on.  The negatives will be banned.  Bye!  Bye!!!Smiley Happy

I'm not so sure about that.  They don't ban like they used to.

If QVC needed to tighten up, I could see them putting the forums on the chopping block.  The moderators who work for the company could be cut or sent to other areas to support customer service instead of responding to inappropriate content alerts.

I think the forums are a good concept, but it seems they don't want to invest in doing it right, so it suggests it's not on anybody's priority list.  It's kind of odd they keep the thing going since so many posters admit they don't even shop at QVC or watch anymore.
