F & M - they had the best deals on makeup, shampoos, toiletries, etc. And Kresge (sp) - I remember there was a luncheon/counter area that was turquoise..so retro. My grandma used to take me there when I was little...gosh 40 years ago....

Mervyns! Not as it was in its last gasping year or two after the store had been sold, but before that. When they had all the fun stuff for their home/kitchen department. They had great decorative pillows, and that yearly blanket sale was so good. They also got in a really good selection of robes during the holidays.

Rickels and Pergament....both Home Depot type stores.

Did anyone have a Grant's?

Yes, there was a Grant's where I lived. I worked there for one Christmas season.

Is this the same as WT Grant? This was the first 5&10 we had with a luncheonette.
