I have Pandora on and I have one of the Moody Blues stations playing but it contains various artists too.
"House of the Rising Son" - The Animals just finished.
Santana's "Smooth" played earlier and if I wasn't afraid of falling I would have done some swaying.🤣
Love my Moody Blues.

This evening, I have been listening to Heather Dale, on youtube, singing the Huron Carol.
It is the music of my ancestors and I love listening to it.
Heather sings it in the original Huron-Wendat language as it was written by Father Jean de Brebeuf in the 1600's.
He was a missionary priest in New France (Canada) and wrote this to teach the First Nations people about Christ and his birth.
Children in Canada have grown up singing this carol.
Heather sings this in all three languages, Huron-Wendat, French and English, in her youtube video.
My father's parents and my mother's grandmother were French Canadian with Huron-Wendat, Algonquin and MicMac
ancestors.
If you like to hear different kinds of Christmas music, you may enjoy the Huron Carol on youtube. There are other videos of other people's version of the song, But I have only found
Heather singing it in the original language.

@Enufstuff What an interesting heritage. My DH is French- Canadian-Iroquois on his mother's side. I meant to add his father's side came straight from France so DH didn't even speak English when he started kindergarten.
Thank you for this post. It is so important that original languages and customs be preserved and carried forth.

I rarely listen to music, but enjoy the PBS specials of the "oldies" from the 50s and 60s. I watched on Netflix Royal Carols which is sponsored by Princess Kate each year. For the first time I heard The Colors of Christmas by John Rutter. I found a version on YouTube sung by a Methodist girls' choir. I bookmarked it and listen to it several times a day. Lovely.
