This is a new one on me! I thought I had seen every kitchen gadget ever made. If I ever eat just half a banana in a day, I always wrap it in a paper towel and put in the fridge. Wonder why David never presented such a thing???

I have my second Kuhn Ricon. I've used one for years thanks to my arthritic hands not being able to open anything. The gears finally stripped on my original. This new one has a few more additions, which I've not used yet. I do like that it has a tab opener. Word to the wise: keep an extra on hand. When mine stripped out, it took 2 weeks to get my reorder. The original lasted maybe 10 years so it was surely a great investment.

@KathyM23   I see that you already ordered it, but I wanted to answer your question.  Yes, it opens wide jars and very narrow jars.  I've had mine for years, and it's a great jar opener.  Amazon has it, too.
