Unnecessarily critical of ( fill in the blank) She is to this day a mean and critical person. When those thoughts scream in my head about something, someone, or about myself I have to take a mental breath and say ‘you can’t do this to yourself’.

Sending greeting cards - (But mostly text messages nowadays) 

My mom never missed a friend or relative's birthday, graduation, anniversary, etc.

She always remembered the special occasions in the lives of others.

I'm the same way - It gives me great pleasure to bless/acknowledge someone on a date that means a lot to him or her.

@Shelbelle  I have about 20 robes and I often wear one all day at home if I am not expecting anyone.  No since washing a lot of clothes just to sit around the house as I spend a lot of time reading - want to be comfortable at home.

I don't leave the house even just to go to the store without good clothes, jewelry, etc.  No casual jeans or T shirt for me.

@qualitygal   I was just going to post the same thing.  Just looking in the mirror.  I remember the first time that happened.  What shock. I was just standing up from bending over and there was my mother's face in my dresser mirror.

I hear her voice everyday ..saying..

"you won't ever be happy living in the sticks!" 

She was right...I'm still a city girl even after 23 yrs. here in the "sticks".

Everything!  I look like her and sound like her. I'm loyal like her, sharp like her and I love like her.

I'm proud to be like her. She's my hero and I thank God she's still here with me.

@Bonkers1 All I have to do is look at myself in the mirror.  Our personalities are opposite I take after my Dad being outspoken but sweet.  My Mom was very spiritual and loved Rice Krispie treats!

I have no traits from my Mom, except maybe my generosity to others less fortunate.  I look exactly like my Mom but have numerous traits from my Dad.  I am a spend thrift like my Dad, feed the birds and reuse aluminum pie plates.
