I fly in and out of Portland all the time. It's a really nice airport; very clean, attractive, large but not huge, easy to get around. It's also as efficient as any airport I've ever been to, in terms of getting your thru check in and security, quickly. Even during their busiest times, they do a good job.

If anyone is that disturbed about going thru security, don't fly! I fly often and have never felt the screenings were personal or overly intrusive. I would not, however, want to start my flying day getting to see all this guy had to offer!

I'm also unimpressed with the folks who throw a fit because they have to turn off their electronic devices for awhile. You think the law is unnecessary. So, probably, do a lot of the flight attendants. But there is a little thing called a federal law, that they're required to enforce if they want to keep their jobs. If it bothers you that much, get involved with trying to change it. Think the attendant was rude to you, be a grown up. Turn off the little device and when you get where you're going, talk to the airline about the attendant's behavior.

I don't know of anyone who flies so they can have the fun of going thru security screenings, but, I've never been around anyone who made a big deal of it. I've never been on a plane with anyone who thought their iphone was more important than a plane full of people.
