Why are no replies possible?
I simply wanted to remark that I believed three years ago was too recent. I checked, and Russert died in 2008.

@golding76 It was an old thread that someone bumped up. Against the rules.

I looked him up too..just to see why we can't mention him and couldn't find anything.Strange but someone had a reason to report.

@dex The thread was bumped up from 2011. Not allowed.

It was a post from 2011 that someone responded to. I wonder how they even found it.

proudly,
Thank you for pointing out that this was a dated thread. No wonder the OP wrote "3 years ago."
There must be a reason that Tim Russert's soul wanted to be remembered today. (At least that is what I believe.)
ETA: I am rather certain that Tim Russert was not an Eastern Orthodox Christian, but today (February 22) is, for us, the first Saturday of Souls. We pray for the souls of our beloved departed on this particular Saturday and the following two Saturdays.. Life is mysterious.

@golding76 I don’t see why you can’t start a new one.

I think I'm okay with remembering him and his work in a positive light. So much is a lightning rod for partisan thinking.
Maybe he just wanted to be remembered today. Perhaps his son became engaged/married or he became a grandfather. Now I am wondering...

It was an old thread bumped up by a new poster who didn’t know better. Nothing about souls, no partisan thinking, nothing. Just a new poster who wanted to join the conversation.
Hoping @realdealphil7 hasn’t been scared off and gets into the swing of things here.

Sometimes when you google a person, place or thing, your search may lead you to something a person wrote about that here on this forum...and the date it was written is not obvious when you are just googling around.
