About a year ago there was someone researching how to get rid of Hummels. What did she decide? FYI I still love mine.

Re: What Happened to Hummers?

You miss titled your thread (thought you were talking about the gas gobbling cars).

Re: What Happened to Hummers?

I remember that thread but unfortunately do not remember the OP's outcome.  I do know from my own experience as an anttique dealer for many years that the small collectables venue has taken a huge fall from their highs at the beginning of 2000.  That's not to say they aren't valuable but investments made back at that time (or even later) will possibly not regain what was paid for them.  I am like you in that if I love something I keep it and the resale value is not necessarily a part of it all.... good luck and enjoy your wonderful collection.... Woman Happy

@wagirl- not hummingbirds, Hummel figurines.  Typo in the header.  O/T- I saw a hummingird perch on the telephone wire outside my kitchen window, it was the cutest thing.

qbet--haha---funny!! Going to keep my post anyway--so now we are not talking about cars or birdsSmiley Very Happy----was wondering why anybody would want to get rid of them....the birds that is....

When I was in my late teens, in the early 70's, a friends mom had shelves of Hummel figures and I mean many shelves!!!! Loved to look at them. They had a huge family so that was the gift of choice for mom.  Prob sold for thousands of $$ too.

Every year there's a thread started by someone whose hummingbirds are late or have gone missing.
