Re: What Does Aging GRACEFULLY Mean To You?

For me it means trying to stay healthy.  I don't have a problem with gray hair or wrinkles, I am thankful I have lived long enough to have them.

I try to stay current.  I read a lot and spend time helping others and my family.  As long as I have things to do and can do them, I am doing okay.

Honestly, since I had my knee replaced, I feel young again.  There is nothing physically  I can't do that I did thirty years ago.  I try not to stress about changes I can't control.

I am blessed and thankfully so.

Re: What Does Aging GRACEFULLY Mean To You?

Maintaining good health and well being are important to age gracefully, I hope I can do that. Having my family and friends around for support through good and bad times, alleviating stress as much as possible are also key to aging gracefully,  I try to laugh a lot and have fun, keep up with the times but with the  wisdom I have gained, all are important.

@SandySparkles So happy that you are back.

Had to let go of hair dye because of health reasons. Not a believer in botox, fillers or facial surgery.  Love nice clothes, accessories, light make-up (try to keep my hair neat),  wear clean clothes daily, shower or bathing twice a day, clean house, cook and drive somewhere almost everyday.

Gracefully would mean being able to take care of myself financially, physically and be able to function without caretakers. God help us.

Growing old is not for the weak.

@hopi Welcome and THANK you!🥰 Now THAT is how you age GRACEFULLY!😊

THANK you SO much for caring to share!🤗

For me it's being grateful for every day and accepting every outer change and being the best me.

@SandySparkles   So good to see you back!

Hmmm, aging gracefully. Well like several others have said, trying to stay healthy. If you're good inside, it shows on the outside. And that goes for physically, emotionally, mentally.  Exercise, eat well, surround yourself with positive energy folks and above all, love yourself!

Re: What Does Aging GRACEFULLY Mean To You?

Aging gracefully, no such thing. lol. But aging, yes we all do it.  No one truely likes it, but most of us accept and move on. To me aging gracefully is to suddenly have a firing urge to go pee,, and making it in time. This is a biggie. So far so good, except, once..... Being able to get out of bed without  unknowingly yelping in pain out loud, lol.  Aging gracefully is being able to read the labels and desern between RETIN A and my small tube toothpaste.  I am 77.  And sometimes it's small things...are huge things lol

Honestly to me, aging gracefully is NOT getting plastic surgery or a face lift.
