In answer to your question, what did my father do for a living?  He worked for the Government as a Technical Editor.  I don't remember much of this conversation (I was a kid), but remember his name was Howard (I believe) and he was involved in Oceanography and was a Marine Artist.   That was about it.  

 

As an aside:  My oldest son was born with dark Navy blue eyes but as some have speculated about the dark Navy being mistaken for Violet, I can say that my son's eye color has never been mistaken for Violet... always navy blue.
