@PhilaLady1 I read a few google posts on her eye color. Some say she did have violet eyes. Although extremely rare, it is possible. Others say her eyes were an intense shade of blue and her clothing color and makeup made them appear violet. Who knows.....

She was definitely one of the most beautiful. Natalie wood was another one.

Of course, being a celebrity,as stated upthread, they had the best stylists, photographers & makeup artists available.

If you've ever seen makeovers on shows like Oprah,the Today Show etc., you've seen what a top notch makeover can do. They can take plain & drab & turn you into glamorous & gorgeous.

The picture really shows her beautiful features. I also disagree she is the most beautiful but I took the remark in stride. We see posts about the most handsome men so it is all good.

If anyone has a photo of her violet eyes would you please post it?

Obviously, any color can be modified these days, but I don't remember ever seeing her eyes where they looked "violet" ... just mentions of how beautiful they were.

I agree she was absolutely stunning as a young woman. The make up artists certainly played up her beautiful features. Reportedly, due to a genetic mutation, she had a double row of eyelashes and always tried to trim them. I would say she is a classic beauty, along with yes, Grace Kelly, Natalie Wood, Lena Horne, Dorothy Dandridge...my mom thought Dorothy was stunning.
