We put fruit in one and vegetables in the other. The drawers aren’t large enough to hold many vegetables. Right now, the drawer is filled with red and green bell peppers. The rest of the vegetables are on the shelves.

I agree @Mothertrucker My DH is a former produce manager and he always told me never ever store potatoes, onions or tomatoes in the fridge.

As of this typing:
Left drawer: celery (wrapped w/ aluminium foil), carrots, strawberries, herbs
Center drawer: scallions; 1/2 yellow onion, skin on
Right drawer: Romaine and iceberg lettuces, green cabbage
On a shelf: inside a covered pitcher standing upright in a little water: Asparagus spears
Never in my refrigerator: basil, potatoes, whole onions, garlic, tomatoes, whole avocados, chilies, ginger, apples, oranges, bananas, whole pineapples, mangoes, etc.
Besides the good advice to observe how your grocer stores his produce, I suggest considering where and how fruits and vegetables are grown. For example, why would one think a (whole) tropical fruit needs refrigeration?

I eat a lot of salads with my evening meals so I chop up romaine lettuce and keep iit in one of the drawers. I also keep any other produce and fruit in the other one.

In crispers I store bottled water, fruit juice, tea, any beverage in single serving containers.
Potatoes, onions, and garlic should be stored at cool (but not refrigerated temps). Cool, as in not in the sun or next to an oven.
And store the potatoes away from the onions.

Produce (romaine, napa cabbage, etc), sticks of butter, sliced cheese for DHs lunch sandwich, and his "overstock" eye medication.
I used to devote one drawer exclusively to beer.

Velveeta Cheese; Many various Trader Joe's dark chocolate bars. Dark chocolate covered almonds and walnuts that I buy in bulk. Two of my favorite things that I keep chilled just for myself. Nice and safe there, lol.

@ROMARY I think I might come over and raid your crispers now that you've spilled the beans. Yum.😊

Currently, the crisper drawers in the kitchen fridge have cheese, cream cheese, and butter in one side, and celery, carrots and cabbage in the other side.
The crisper drawers in the overflow fridge in my TV room have beer in one side and Sparkling Ice drinks in the other side.
