Oh DOC.....we don't have to "wait for it"....you showed up, lol.
Yep I noticed "Q cheerleaders" and "host defenders" ..

Which is why they don't listen. For every person who feels one way there's someone who feels the opposite and says so.
I am not the host's BFF and they aren't mine. I honestly don't care about them telling me anything about their life off-QVC sets. It's fake, very annoying, and makes me want to change the channel and not buy when I can't get enough info on the product because I had to hear about dance recitals or the host's faith.
But for every casual, not glued to the channel 24/7 viewer like me, there are people who love-love-love being BFF's with that cute young thing who they wish was their granddaughter, because GD never visits and they're stuck in the house alone.
They're still playing around with their demographic, as if they think it is/hope it is/want it to be what it isn't. When there is no variety and you've seen all products you even might be interested in a zillion times, variety becomes the biggest issue, even over hosts. No host can "fix" that.
My personal wish list? Someone who behaves like an adult and doesn't gush, kiss-kiss, cackle or screech. I don't want to hear about hubby, the kids or grandma. I don't want to hear what they buy/own.
Someone who resists QVC's drive to turn them into someone they're not, in a bad way, in order to keep their job. No faux, cheesy, forced reactions or feelings. No OMGs or huge gasps of wonder. Minimal phoniness.
I think QVC is trying to blame decreasing sales on the hosts. "If we only had the right hosts..."
Um...no. If you only had items people cared to buy at non-ripoff prices and s&h...
@Moonchilde @millieshops@ @Marp @RespectLife
They need to try SOMETHING because if they continue on with the status quo they could wind up like Sears, Macy's.............They nailed the 70 plus demographic but if they want to attract other age groups and improve their financial picture trying a few things is better than nothing!

Which brings us to Variety in Programming........If there's a favorite repeat product that is given a break on TV the fans can still order it online or on their APP!!!
And by VARIETY I dont mean adding a new color or metallic paint or the same ole product make a minor change and calling basically the same product "new". And if you already have tons of shoe vendors when QVC FINALLY brings in something different, what do they brinf in MORE shoes....I want a diversity in products and not the same stuff we see locally!!!
Rotate the hosts---never seen Katie McGee (and heard nice things about her), and Monday's Fashion's Night In.... needs a change........Alberti needs a home decor show!!! (if you read his Blog or Facebook you've seen his talent)............
Exactly...bring back Alberti to regular programming at QVC.
And while they are at it....bring back:
-Thomas Pacconi Christmas items
-Tiffany Style Lamps
-Different Designers with reasonable, affordable
prices and better style of clothes
-Get rid of GILI...it's not the same since Lisa left and they would save big bucks in not paying Jill.
-Bring back 50/50 tours
-Give discounts and coupons to customers
-How 'bout some free shipping...if not everyday at least 1-2 times a week instead of all those easy pay for 4 hours every other day

Excellent point @millieshops
We clearly do not all agree. Threads with host bashing and threads with host praises of the same person abound. Everyone has a different opinion about a hosts' style and presentation.
Look at all the arguements about vendors and their styles.
As far as I am concerned, QVC should be only concerned with the bottom line. Not my personal gripes. They are in business to make money. Just think of all the families that would be devastated across the US should QVC fail? They have operations in many cities not just PA.
Those on these boards are a mere pin drop in the bucket of the QVC audience and purchasers. We may be speaking out here negatively about something, but thousands of others are speaking positively by buying! Just because they don't use social media, doesn't mean their voices are not just as important. They speak with their money also.
If I seriously dislike an item they sell thousands of...who should they listen to? Me? I don't think so. I recently tried a makeup remover that has pages and pages of 5 star reviews. I HATED it! It is claimed to be a top seller. I think it even won an award. Should they remove it because in my opinion it did NOT perform at all as described? That's just on me....clearly others love it. I don't know why, LOL, but they do!
If sales are falling, they need to find the solution. Whether it be different items, different vendors or new/retrained hosts. Fix it.
But just because we repeat the same things over and over here...doesn't mean they have to change something that may be working for others because we say so. Just because I go to a hosts facebook page and request her to change...doesn't mean she needs to.
I think it is very helpful when consumers give constructive feedback, but let's be honest, a lot of what is posted is not constructive or helpful. Just plain nasty. I wouldn't give credence to such posts if I were in charge at the Q. What is the proverb? You catch more flies with honey....

I have definitely changed my QVC watching habits from what they were years ago!! Now, I usually just check in at breaks of other TV shows.
Reasons -
lack of variety of products, way too repetitive
lack of professionalism with some hosts and vendors
too often and too long of hours showing the TSV
offer long time customers some incentives
free return S/H
free S/H , especially if customer buys up to a certain total
lessen cost & S/H for purchase of more than one item
show garment measurements on the screen - all the time
I would change some hosts to other QVC positions. Really some are just not cut out for the job of selling on TV. Some hosts need more sales training, especially in presentation preparation and voice projection Make hosts focus on the item they are selling and not on telling tales of their off QVC life. I really don't care to hear about their families, trips, religious thoughts etc....

I gotta giggle @shell garden
I totally, totally disagree with your entire list except free shipping ! I won't go into why on each one, my only point being that we all have different ideas!

But isn't that the point @shell garden, feedback is just that, feedback -- it's not automatically right or wrong. It's all subjective. Your list above is all very good and interesting, but mine would be different.
- I don't care to ever see Tiffany style lamps presented.
- I like Valerie Parr Hill very much as a person, but her home decor taste is far from mine. I can go five years without another sphere or mosaic vase or glittered bunny.
- I like GILI and Jill Martin. I don't miss Lisa's fashion style at all; I thought she designed for her style only and I never wore cropped, tight leather jackets she used to push. However, I loved Lisa's decor style most of the time.
- I do LOVE coupons & discounts. QVC is definitely missing the boat on the spending frenzy a TRUE sale, not $3 off, would bring.
- Kitchen products for those that want decor in stainless, copper, brushed bronze -- and not primary colors.
- Yes to decor shows hosted by someone other than Jill Bauer.
- Make prices more competitive for the item. Fashion, especially, is way overpriced, for the most part. No amount of Easy Pay will entice me to spend $50 for a tank top, or $80 for a longer tank top.

I agree about Gili, not the same. I thought Jill might do well, but it's just kind of a Higher end Denim and co. The fabric's are cheap, the styles are not good. Different host's i agree also, Less Logo and Susan graver and Dooney please. Bring Coach, and other lines for a while. For the first time since i started watching I am bored ! I would rather watch HULU or netflix.
