Re: What Did You Think of 'How To Get Away With Murder'?

As for Viola Davis, I'm sure she played it as written and directed, but it was too much jumping around, and in the dark, for me to follow. One more chance for us too, and I'll find something else. I didn't see her on the View wish I had now.

Re: What Did You Think of 'How To Get Away With Murder'?

I enjoyed the very first part......the lawyer-professor in her classroom, etc., etc. Then, it did become 'dark' (the setting), and then, I couldn't figure out what was happening, so I switched channels, meaning to return, but didn't.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

I was so looking forward to it but did not enjoy it. I was confused, it was so physically dark that I would not see everything. I may give it another try.

I saw Viola Davis on the View and I thought she was wonderful. I love hearing about the accomplishments people have made. She grew up hungry and now works for feeding children in this country. I find that to be commendable.

Hi SO!

I thought it was confusing, also, and dark. Hard to know what was going on in the woods or why they wanted the rug. They're not dumb, they'd know it could have been traced. Could the murder only have been an exercise?

I hope that's what it turns out to be. Otherwise it's just to unbelievable that all those young people smart enough to be in Law School would participate in something like that.

I did not love the show, but may give it another look next week!! There were too many issues introduced in too short of a time-frame...most scenes were filmed in the dark...had trouble identifying the different students...too much jumping back and forth among stories. The lawyer/teacher is not someone I would like to get to know. I guess time will tell with this show!!

Hi corita, I agree with your assessment. I'll watch at least another show, too. They still have time to get it together.

Re: What Did You Think of 'How To Get Away With Murder'?

As her husband watched tv about the missing student that was found dead he looked like he was emotionally invested as more than her teacher..

In next weeks episode she asks him point blank if he was sleeping with her...

So I do think that his murder really happens at some point....

All the possible plot twists are what make it really interesting to me...

Re: What Did You Think of 'How To Get Away With Murder'?

I wasn't impressed with the first episode, either.

The main character was too harsh, aggressive, negative. She was hard to believe as a law professor in a classroom. I would've preferred a lighter touch to her character, more sharp wit - not "funny" but intelligent quick wit.

It was hard to follow. I'm not a fan of the forward/backward flashes being used that much.

Re: What Did You Think of 'How To Get Away With Murder'?

I 'kind of' assumed it was a class exercise. (Having not watched most of it, though.) If not, what's the probability of all of those law students having the same mind-set and participating in criminal behavior?

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).
