I still like the same candy, but I stopped eating the sugar only stuff like jelly beans, circus peanuts, peeps, etc.

Now I only eat candy made with chocolate, mostly dark chocolate covered nuts and fruits.

I wouldn't eat a Milky Way or Three Musketeer bar as a kid or now.  Yuck!

Candy corn and any of those 'plastic' candies as well as butterscotch. The Boyer Candy company is not far from us, but I dislike most of their candy, especially "Smoothies" and not a fan of Mallo Cups. Being diabetic protects me from them! LOL!!

Lol...can't think of one at the moment...as I'd still love to eat them all...but don't, for the most part...

Sugar babies, milk duds, Necco's wafers, Bit-o'-Honey, Mounds, Bonomo turkish taffy (which no longer exists), Charms (still love gummy candies), Swedish Fish, Licorice, Good n' Plenty, Russell Stover anything....oh I could go on.

Haha, needless to say I resist now....dang it.

I used to like Hershey kisses and bars but I have become much more picky. I love chocolate but I need higher quality now!

For the most part, I can eat any candy that I enjoyed as a child.  The only exception is Hershey's chocolate.  I can still eat a small piece now and then but I think it tastes pretty bad compared to other chocolate.

I used to like Reese's peanut butter cups but not anymore.  They taste too salty to me now.

Growing up we would walk to the movie theater on a Saturday and for 15 cents, we saw a full length movie, a few cartoons and a newsreel of current happenings in the world.  They would also allow us to stay and rewatch them a second time.  This got us kids out of the house for quite awhile- we were thrilled and I am sure Mom was too (6 kids).  Our friends also came from large families as well.  Sugar Daddy candy and Turkish Taffy was the best for lasting through the day at the movies.  Kids don't think of their teeth.  Today, I wouldn't think of eating any of these.
