Re: What Are You Reading --- April 2015

Finished At Water's the Edge by Sara Gruen last night. It was so-so at best.

Somehow mixing drug addiction, spousal abuse, WW II , Nessie, and happily-ever-after in the same plot didn't work. {#emotions_dlg.confused1} Sometimes, less is better.

Re: What Are You Reading --- April 2015

I too started to use kindle due to arthritis, it does help,but I love the feel of a book in my hands! On kindle I am reading All The Blue eyed Angels, by Jen block, interesting so far. The One That Got Away, by Simon Wood was very good. The Memory box, by Eva Lesko Natiello, never finished. My Sisters Grave, by Robert Dugoni, was very good. I am also reading Hold Tight, by Harold Coben very good and getting better.( sorryI am on IPad do not know how to underline titles). I am so glad others love to read it is such a gift, it keeps you busy,entertains, helps you when you are lonely and can be your best friend.

Just started this historical fiction by the author of Eat, Love, Pray. Hope it's good because it's long, lol.

I loved this book, but I think a lot of people didn't care for it. I can see where it might be a little controversial.

Number One Queen: I became a kindle convert about 8 years ago. I knew that I was an addict when I read a paperback and kept pushing on the side of the page and wondering why the page didn't turn!!!!!{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

For me, the kindle's main advantage is not having to store, trade, or sell box upon box of books. Both my dh and I are readers, so we were accumulating lots of books.

I'm reading Don DeLillo's "The Falling Man." It's a novel about 9/11, a man who gets out of one of the towers and survives and how it touches his life and his child's and ex-wife's and out in concentric circles, how it touches the people he touches. His style is clipped but so far the story is well done, especially the writing of the main character.

Just "Bolded" your titles to make reading them easier. Not sure why iPad doesn't allow you to do that.

I'm reading Serena. I like it but it is very slow going. I wonder if I should just wait for the movie? I don't like her at all. She gives me the creeps. There is something lying deep down I just know it and I guess that's what keeps me going.

Serena is a brilliant book. Keep reading.

You're not supposed to like her; I'd be appalled if you said you did!

Almost finished. You were right, I'm glad I kept at it. Terrific book. She reminds me of Gene Tierney in Leave Her to Heaven. Same type. I have an inkling how it will end. I'm dying to see it come on the screen, although I seldom like it when it happens-I still want to see it.

Here are the stars, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. Not familiar with them but she's gorgeous and he's nice looking. I think it's a good choice. We can thank heaven that Reese Witherspoon wasn't chosen (like she is for everything else.) It wouldn't let me copy the big pic.

I just finished Missing You by Harlan Coben. It is about a dating service and desperate people. I have never read anything by this author. I enjoyed the book but it got a little too violent and graphic for me in the end. I don't know if all his books are like that.
