It hit 80 degrees in Westchester County, New York today. Buds are growing on the trees and it is beautiful outside. Beginning on Thursday temps will dip a bit to the 40s, but even that is not so bad after the brutal winter we had - worst in over 20 years.

Got hot in Philly today. I put the air on. Ugh..

Yesterday it was in the 70's, right now we're having a violent hail storm and 39 degrees. I've never seen hail like this and I'm not a kid. Tennis ball size and lots of it. I'm 15 miles west of Chicago.

We usually don't see Spring until April -usually mid to late April at that......
Its still better than blizzard and sub zero temps though!!!
I didn't know you're in WI @CANDLEQUEEN. You typed what I was going to say.

Yes, it is still winter, and spring where I live means nothing, but the sub zero temps are gone. It was nice to open windows even for a couple of days.
When I worked we used to joke that around here spring happened on a Friday in June between 3 and 3:15.

The weather on Long Island in the last 2 days has been surreal to say the least.
We literally had a blizzard with 2 feet of snow two weeks ago and then it was sunny and almost 80 degrees yesterday. That is extremely unusual for March in New York, but it was a welcomed change.
It was definitely a tease and I'm slightly heartbroken that the temps will drop back down with rain, but we definitely got a taste of what is to come in the coming weeks/months and I can't wait!

We're expecting 90+ and in some areas triple digit temps by end of this week, the weather has been like a yo-yo in SoCal, several days of 60-70 degrees then it jumps up to the 90's. Entertainment reporters who will be on the Red Carpet for the Oscars this Sunday say instead of heaters they will be having cooling fans for the celebrities walking through.

Am in western WA state and the winter here has been --------weird! Very mild temps with moderate rain, almost no snow in the mountains--scary. Last week was cold ,day and night--this week is in the 50's but the mountains will be getting slammed with blizzard conditions and feet of snow in the next few days--we need that. Tonight is supposed to be very windy. Power outages and trees down----for some-- but now nearly what the rest of the country is/has been going thru. Heard about something called a super el nino maybe setting up for the fall into 2027--haven't read much about it yet but it doesn't sound good.

@CANDLEQUEEN same here. Never felt the urge to move anywhere far away. So many classmates spend the cold months in FL, but even though I don't like a lot of snow, I really hate heat and humidity.
