We had a couple of quick but heavy storms roll through again yesterday. Once again, trees down, limbs down, roofs damaged. It seems we no sooner get done cleaning up then another storm comes through and we all start all over again. This go round, a whole line of big main supply power poles were pushed over and blocked the main road into my plat. Road was closed for hours last night while the power company worked to fix the mess.

Holy smokes, we're in SW MI, I had no idea you all had that kind of weather going through. Thank goodness you're all ok.

Yup. These storms this spring and now summer are wild. The wind gusts are not only strong, but they just seem to constantly change direction within the same storm. The storm last night before bed had rain slamming 3 sides of my house from gust to gust and the gusts hitting the front of my house had the rain hitting my front patio window which is 8' back from the roof edge!

The upside is that if it keeps up, nobody will have to have any pruning/cutting back of trees done for this year or next!

Well, on a good note, this is our 4th day in a row of full sun and nice dry air. I am loving it. Humidity is suppose to come back tomorrow. Bummer. I guess mother nature doesn't want to spoil us. It makes you appreciate the nice days all the more.

It's hot. In high 90's this week. We get the summer monsoons usually starting sometime in July, then things cool off. The weather people say we should have a good monsoon season this year which we desperately need. We'll see.

I got a new pimple when I woke up this morning. Other than that, same ole, same ole.

Election day today, and the first "official" day of summer vacation. Here is my loverboy, who stayed this way for about two hours, until I had to give him the boot to go vote.

Love that pose. Animals can always make you feel better, can't they? My day is OK - doing a bit of housework, nothing too heavy. Mostly, I am waiting for the Tweak'd product I ordered to be delivered.
